On November 9th 2007 Spanhoek Boutique Hotel opened their doors to the public in downtown Paramaribo, making the first Boutique hotel in the very heart of the city a reality. The hotel is situated at approximately a 45 minutes’ drive from the international airport of Suriname.

At the moment the Spanhoek Boutique hotel offers 17 rooms on the third an fourth floor including 2 executive suites and a penthouse with a beautiful panoramic view of the historical city of Paramaribo. All our rooms are different and uniquely decorated and will meet and exceed the expectations of today’s traveler.

At the moment 8 more rooms are being constructed on the second floor, which rooms will be ready by October 2008.

The beautiful spacious rooms are all equipped with two single or one spacious bed, warm and cold water, television, minibar, smoke detectors, water boiler, safe deposit box, etc. The genuine Surinamese woods, from which the accents of the hotel and designs of the beds and interior of the rooms are made off, create an extra dimension of homelike atmospheres.

The breakfast buffet which is included in the room rate is served on the Spanato Terras from 06:30 a.m. until10:00 a.m. Spanato is actually open from 06:30 hours until 22:00 hours serving lunch and dinner as well. Our 24 hour secured parking area is conveniently located across the hotel.

A shopping arcade is located downstairs of the Spanhoek Boutique hotel, where you will also find an ATM machine and a Foreign Currency Exchange office. Because of our location in downtown Paramaribo, you will find different government offices, several commercial banks and casino’s in the proximity of the hotel. Also within walking distance you can find several tourists attractions such as: the wooden cathedral, the old reformed church, the post office, the mosque and the synagogue.
